Hi, I’m Ellen, founder of Godsequences.com and The Godsequences Podcast, a platform for men and women of faith like you to unleash their story, reignite their faith and inspire the world!

I can’t tell you one moment when the idea of creating this platform really took hold. For me, creating something like this had always been nagging at me – sometimes, it came in whispers. But sometimes, it screamed as loudly as a tax deadline, forcing me to shut up, sit down, listen… and write!

Throughout the course of my life journey, I came close to death 5 times. I’m 5x a medical mystery. I can’t tell you how many times doctors had told me I shouldn’t even be alive (one that stands out to me is remembering having been asked to look up hospice care). Maybe one of these days, I’ll tell you about them in the podcast as we get to sharing our stories. 

But I think the one that pushed me into finally acting on creating this platform was my run-in with the much-dreaded CoVID-19. I think we all remember how scary that time was for all of us – worrying for ourselves, worrying for our loved ones, worrying about being out in the open, worrying about our interactions with other people. 

It was kind of a shock, a bit of a blur because it all happened so fast. You’d think if it was that bad for me, I’d be chasing breaths. But no, I was talking coherently and walking as normal. I remember myself being wheeled in sitting cross-legged in the gurney (I wasn’t even lying down), because hey, I was feeling okay. But CoVID for me was stealthy. As it turns out, my blood oxygen has plummeted to a concerning 73 – when 80 would’ve been enough to put me in cardiac arrest. 

Despite the medical staff’s initial doubts of the severity of my condition, they couldn’t take the chances with my numbers being so low. They kept me in the hospital for 10 days! 

That’s what it took for me to realize – God is not done with me! My 10 days at the hospital was what I needed to extricate myself from the everyday grind of running my CPA and business consulting practice. That forced isolation gave me the structure to bring this platform to life.
